Abstract

This concise handbook provides an overview of the conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon since 1948. The booklet is divided into five sections: a historical background, which divides the history of Palestinians in Lebanon into five distinct phases; a statistical section outlining the socio-economic conditions of Palestinian refugees; an account of their legal status in Lebanon; a section concerning the right of return for Palestinian refugees; and a concise bibliography. The booklet is illustrated with photographs spanning over five decades of Palestinian presence in Lebanon.
