Biography: 

Founder & Director of Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES).

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 1972.

Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Structural Engineering from Purdue University, Indiana, U.S.A. in 1974.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geotechnical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, California, U.S.A. in 1978.

Teaching and Research Engineer at University of California, Berkeley, California, U.S.A from 1975 to 1979.

Geotechnical Engineer in San Franciso, California, U.S.A. working on several major projects from 1979 to 1981.

Head of the Geotechnical and Road Divisions, Royal Scientific Society, Amman – Jordan from 1982 to 1983.

Established the Arab Center For Engineering Studies (ACES) in Amman – Jordan in 1983. ACES is a consulting company specialized in the Site and Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Technology and Testing and Quality Control of projects.

Has several publications in the Geotechnical Engineering Field.

  • Member of the Board of Trustees in the National University College of Technology, Jordan.

  • Member of the Board of Trustees in the institute for Palestinian Studies (IPS).

  • Member of the General Assembly and ex-deputy of the head of the Board of Trustees in Taawon Association.

  • Founding Partner in Ibda’a Establishment for micro financing in Palestine-nonprofit.
