Abstract

This book examines the sociology of a Palestinian state in formation from the creation of the PLO in the mid-sixties until the establishment of the Palestinian Authority following the Oslo Accord in 1993. It addresses the relationship between the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian civil society and the attempts at state-building despite Israel’s opposition.
