Abstract

This book includes studies and articles written by senior Generals and researchers specialized in the Israeli security issues, whereas some of them occupied and still occupy, high-level positions in the Israeli Security Institute. Among the numerous studies and articles explored, it is noteworthy to mention three major interrelated topics: (1) The Israeli Security Doctrine – its origin, fundamental anchors, circumstances of birth, developments and amendments applied to it as a result of various factors, the concluding lessons drawn from Israel’s wars against Lebanon and Gaza Strip during the last decade; (2) the risks and challenges facing Israel in light of the threats emerging from the turmoils afflicting the Arab region and methods incumbent upon Israel to face those; (3) the assessment  and analysis of the incidents and results of Israel’s wars during the last decade.
