New Section: Congressional Monitor

New Section: Congressional Monitor

This thorough and unique documentation of every piece of legislation that mentions either Palestine or Israel during the 109th Congress (2005-2006), is carried in the Journal of Palestine Studies Issue 144 . The section provides a brief description of the legislation, information about sponsors, votes cast, and last action taken.  The material was collected as part of the Institute's newly launched Congressional Monitoring Project. Project staff are currently tracking the 110th Congress (2007-2008) and, concurrently, working backwards through previous Congresses as available at www.thomas.loc.gov. The Institute is constructing a database to post project material on the web.
