The Legal System

The Institute for Palestine Studies is pleased to announce the publication of a new chapter of The General Survey of Israel, 2020 – Online edition, titled “The Legal System”. The new chapter was updated and expanded by Usama R. Halabi, based on Moussa Abou Ramadan’s chapter in The General Survey of Israel, 2011 edition. The chapter surveys the constitutional situation (Basic Laws), and the legal and judicial system in Israel, including the recent developments, specifically the new Basic Law: Israel as the Nation-State of the Jewish People (2018).
