The Cyber Weapon in Israeli Future Wars: Studies by Senior Israeli Researchers

Israel is one of the first few countries in the region that gave special attention to cyber information and cyber warfare. The Israeli army became interested in cyber space since 2009, when it viewed it as a new and significant operational field. In 2015, the Israeli Chief of Staff announced the establishment of a fourth force within the Israeli army, titled the cyber force, along the forces of land, sea and air.

This book deals with the development of the concept of cyber warfare in Israel, as well as its role in the Israeli army’s military doctrine. The book is based on studies and research papers authored by Israelis in that field, and published by Israeli centers of research, or specialized military magazines.
