Abstract

This is a collection of thirteen research papers addressing various aspects of the conditions under which Palestinians live in the territories occupied in 1948 and 1967 of mandatory Palestine. The papers extensively analyze the Palestinians’ political, economic, social, educational, and demographic circumstances, their means of political expression, and Israeli methods of imposing control over them and judicial policies towards them. In the context of this analytical survey, the study leads the reader to the deep roots of the Intifada. It also describes the relationship between the Palestinians on the “inside” and those on the “outside”, within a framework of a future which brings together those living under occupation with those who live in exile awaiting the return to their country.
