Abstract

In this interview, Islamic scholar and spiritual leader Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah candidly discusses the relationship between Islam and a number of issues, such as development, ideology, international centers of power, science, freedom, justice, women, and secularism. He also evaluates what has come to be known as “Islamic fundamentalism” and comments on developments relating to the Palestinian cause.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mahmoud Soueid is the Senior Advisor of the Institute for Palestine Studies (IPS) and editor in chief of Majallat al-Dirasat al-Filastiniyah. He was General Manager of the Institute from 1982 to 2015.
