Abstract

The book is a literary testimony of five volumes, entitled "Durub al-Manfa" ("Pathways of Exile"). The entire first volume is about al-Masmiyya al-Saghira and is entitled "Al-watan fi al-thakira" ("A Homeland in Memory"). In this book, memory becomes a nation peopled by the ghosts of fear, sacrifice and loss. The author was awarded the Palestinian Prize for Biographical Work by PA Ministry of Culture in December 2004, for this biography.
