This memoir recounts how a young, idealistic Turk came to participate in the Palestinian Resistance in the wake of his government's crackdown on Turkey's leftist and student movement in the early 1970s. In describing the two years he spent in refugee and training camps in Syria and especially Lebanon, he provides a window on life in the Resistance at a crucial time in its history and gives a sense of its international dimension and appeal.
